CoatingsPro Opens 2021 Contractor Awards Program

On the heels of the inaugural virtual ceremony, CoatingsPro Magazine has launched its fifth annual Contractor Awards Program, including enhancements from the 2020 program.

Designed to acknowledge the outstanding work of coatings contractors that demonstrate excellence in the field of high-performance coatings, the awards program acknowledges six categories:

1.       Commercial Concrete

2.       Commercial Roof

3.       Industrial Concrete

4.       Industrial Steel

5.       Specialty Project (any project that doesn’t fit into the other categories)

6.       Contractor/Crew MVP

From the new enhancements instituted with the 2020 Contractor Awards Program, CoatingsPro will continue to offer an option to use a web-based submission form, an extended period for project eligibility (up to two years from one year), and the possibility to submit on behalf of a contractor (in years past, only the contractor could submit).

Each award submission will be rated by the CoatingsPro Editorial Advisory Group, which is composed of industry experts. The judges will evaluate the projects in accordance with specific guidelines that consider criteria such as challenges and problem solving, compliance with U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, monetary savings, innovation, efficiency, and/or the unique nature of the project.

There is no fee to submit a nomination, which should include details and photos of the project. The deadline for nominations is November 15, 2020.

Winners will be announced at NACE International’s CORROSION 2021 Conference and Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, in March 2021. They will also be recognized in the May 2021 print and digital issue of the magazine.
