High School Seniors Awarded Over $400,000 in National Scholarships

19 students from across the country have been selected to receive scholarships valued between $2,500 and $40,000 by the ACE Mentor Program of America, a free afterschool mentoring program created by the integrated construction industry to attract students into pursuing industry-related careers.

Named the CMiC-Allen Berg Memorial, these scholarships honor the late founder of the construction management software company, CMiC. With the support of Mr. Berg’s family, this program awards $400,000 in new scholarships annually. “Allen was a lifelong learner devoted to educational and community causes,” says Judith Berg, Chairwoman of the CMiC Board of Directors. “This scholarship in his memory will carry on his legacy as an advocate for equal opportunities to drive positive change in the world.”

“The scholarships are life-changing for some of the most talented and promising of our thousands of students,” said ACE’s president Diana Eidenshink. “Many of them come from families with limited means. Some scholarship winners are the first in their family to attend college. We expect them to be industry standouts during their careers.”

Selected on the basis of merit and financial need, scholarship winners this fall will enter accredited college or craft training programs in architecture, engineering fields, and construction.

Scholarship recipients were notified via a Zoom announcement that included ACE National staff, the student’s local ACE affiliate program leaders, and mentors. For a full video of these awards is available here.
