NRCA ProCertification Receives Award of Excellence from the International Society for Performance Improvement

The National Roofing Contractors Association is pleased to announce its ProCertification program recently received an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Human Performance Intervention from the International Society for Performance Improvement.

The ISPI awards program is designed to showcase people, products, innovations and organizations that represent excellence in the field of human performance technology. NRCA ProCertification is a key element of improving roofing professionals’ performances. The award scoring criteria is based on the 12 domains of ISPI’s certification program, the Certified Performance Technologist, and NRCA ProCertification met all the criteria standards.

The award reflects the collective effort of the roofing industry to improve its workforce. NRCA rallied all roofing industry stakeholders around a vision of improving and overcoming the industry’s workforce crisis, and other NRCA initiatives—such as Training for Roof Application Careers, NRCA’s One Voice initiative and work involving career and technical education—contributed to the effort.

“The NRCA ProCertification program required unprecedented collaboration between every industry stakeholder for it to become a reality,” says John Schehl, NRCA’s vice president of certification. “Certifying the workforce has the potential power to transform how the entire roofing industry functions and carries a vision that will propel roofing work as a highly respected craft trade across the U.S. and the world.”
