As
part of its ongoing commitment to develop high performance products that are
safe for people and the environment, Dunn-Edwards has introduced New
Enduralastic 10 ultra-premium elastomeric wall coating. New Enduralastic 10 is
formulated with 100 percent acrylic technology, which provides superior
durability and flexibility of the
coating.
The product is low odor, has excellent application properties, and is available
in tint bases which allow the product to be mixed into light, medium, and dark
colors. “It provides excellent elongation properties needed for tolerating
substrate movement, which is essential for bridging hairline cracks on masonry
surfaces,” explained product manager Sam Carrillo. “Enduralastic 10 has
excellent dirt pick-up, chalking and binder degradation resistance not normally
seen in elastomeric wall coatings. This allows the coating to maintain its
original appearance longer.”
To demonstrate performance, previously primed
panels were coated with New Enduralastic 10 Ultra-Premium and other leading
water-based elastomeric wall coatings. The test results showed Enduralastic 10
Ultra-Premium has better chalking and binder degradation resistance than any of
the competing brands.
Like all Dunn-Edwards paints, this product
does not contain ethylene glycol (EG). Dunn-Edwards removed EG from its
paint formulas in 1984 and remains the only major manufacturer to have done
so. EG, which is listed as a hazardous air pollutant and toxic air
contaminant, can be harmful to humans.
