Mark Peters has joined Orion Engineered Carbons as Senior Vice President & General Manager, Americas Region. Based at Orion’s Americas’ headquarters in Kingwood, Texas, Peters is responsible for all aspects of company performance in the Americas.

Peters is a 28-year veteran of petrochemical manufacturing. He spent 24 years with The Dow Chemical Company, where he held leadership positions in engineering; plant, site and global business management; and joint venture development.  Prior to joining Orion Engineered Carbons, Peters served as Manufacturing Vice President for Goradia Capital, LLC, and business development director for Braskem Americas.

Peters earned a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University, which named him a Distinguished Engineering Fellow in 2009.
