John Simonelli has been promoted to vice president of Strategic Initiatives of ABC Supply Co., Inc.

In his new role, Simonelli will focus on identifying, exploring and pursuing key areas of opportunity for growth, expansion and strategic advancement for ABC, on both the national and international levels.

John has done a tremendous job leading the West for the past decade, and he is the right person for this exciting and challenging new role,” said President/CEO Keith Rozolis.  “He'll also be working closely with his successor in the West to ensure a smooth transition for our associates, customers, and suppliers.”

Simonelli joined ABC Supply in 1988 as manager of the Bellville, Ill., location. While holding several branch and district management positions, his locations saw numerous accolades, including regional “Center of the Year” and national “Center of the Year” honors. He was promoted to manager of the Rocky Mountain Region in 1997 and named West Region vice president in 2005.

Prior to joining ABC, Simonelli held multiple positions in strategic warehouse planning operations and distribution center management for firms including Michael Walters and Domino’s Pizza.

He is a native of Massachusetts and graduated from Brown University in Providence, R.I.
