Carboline Hosts Grand Reopening of Coatings R&D Hub

Global coatings manufacturer Carboline Co. recently celebrated the grand reopening of the company’s research and development (R&D) facility at 350 Hanley Industrial Court in St. Louis, Missouri.

The facility was given a number significant upgrades, which Carboline wanted to showcase to its employees, customers, and industry.

70th Anniversary Celebration

The re-opening also kicked off a year-long series of celebrations for the company’s 70th anniversary.

The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the research and development facility, and a company luncheon. Chris Tiernay, president and chief operating officer at Carboline, attended the event with Chris Thornton—mayor of inner-ring suburb Brentwood, Missouri, where Carboline is located.

Approximately 125 Carboline employees based in the St. Louis area also took part in the event.

“This grand-reopening signifies Carboline’s commitment to innovation in the coatings industry,” Tiernay said. “We are very proud of our world-class research and development facility that allows us to develop industry changing products and technology.”

While Carboline’s headquarters are in St. Louis, the company produces high-performance coatings, linings, and fireproofing products in more than 20 manufacturing facilities around the world.

The company describes the R&D center as cutting edge, adding that the center reflects its commitment to remaining at the forefront of the protective coatings industry.
