Formerly known as Wheelabrator Allevard, the company has since flourished to become a world leader in steel shot and surface preparation, for the main applications in peening, cleaning, preparing and cutting. Today, the company has more than 800 employees, has customers in 120 countries and is established on 4 continents, with a total of 9 factories, 4 test centers and 3 research centers.

On this 60th anniversary, Winoa is taking the opportunity to implement a renewed and improved growth plan, as well as the development and marketing of new services and products.

The steel shot produced by Winoa under the name "W Abrasives®" is used in manufacturing and processing of thousands of metal products and articles. Some of this process includes surface preparation before enameling of your cast iron cookware, cleaning and descaling during the demolding of the brake calipers of your car, reinforcing the landing gears of aircrafts, or the preparation before painting of the most important bridges and steel structures in the world!

From the creation of technological tools such as WA Clean 2.0 allowing the reading of the cleanliness of steel surfaces, the development of new Ultra Fine Media (UFS) used on the gears of electric cars, the worldwide deployment of new services such as W Care, a range of equipment maintenance and optimization services, or major investments in our production plants, these actions will allow Winoa to maintain its position as an innovative leader.
