Held each year, AMPP Legislative Day is a chance for Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) members and leaders to interact with U.S. Congressional members, as well as other coatings and corrosion professionals.

It is an important opportunity for AMPP members to advocate for their industry and help change how policymakers view the importance of coatings and corrosion prevention. Registration for the event is free.

During this two-day event, to be held from June 13-14, 2022, attendees will:

• Learn more about important policies before Congress and federal agencies;
• Hear from leaders in various industries and the federal government;
• Meet directly with key members of Congress and staff;
• Build support for AMPP priorities and policies;
• Network with peers from across the United States.

Registration is free, but AMPP is asking attendees to provide some basic details to help facilitate the event. Further information on lodging options and a detailed agenda is available at AMPP’s website.

Items currently on the Legislative Day agenda include a networking happy hour with special guests; a dinner featuring industry and government leaders as speakers; coffee with members of Congress; traditional Capitol Hill meetings; and a special Coatings and Corrosion Prevention Caucus reception with members of Congress and their staff, as well as industry stakeholders.
