The 2023 version of World of Concrete (WOC) opens soon at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with events taking place from Monday, January 16 through Thursday, January 19.
The annual show is potentially valuable to coatings contractors dealing with concrete substrates, as well as numerous other vendors throughout the value chain.
WOC is described by organizers as the industry’s only annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. Its stated mission is to provide products, resources, and valuable information that attendees can use to strengthen their business. WOC includes both an education program and Exhibit Hall.
Prospective attendees can register online for the event, which offers insight on the latest in advanced technology and machinery, as well as access to new training and techniques in concrete and masonry. Registration will only be available online.
Attendee Breakdown
Each year, WOC attracts approximately 1,500 exhibiting companies and more than 60,000 industry professionals, and it occupies more than 700,000 square feet (65,032.1 m2) of indoor and outdoor exhibit space. The Exhibit Hall is open daily, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Beyond exhibits, the conference offers numerous networking and educational opportunities ranging from technical training sessions on the latest construction and worksite techniques to professional development workshops focused on business and management.
Attendees represent all segments of the construction industry. In addition to popular business and project management seminars, industry certifications, and interactive workshops, the 2023 lineup highlights many new technical topics including petrography, mass concrete, fiber reinforcing, reshoring, superflat floors, repair/restoration, 3-D (three-dimensional) printing, defect litigation, and more.
This year, World of Concrete is also introducing several new education alliances with industry associations, consulting firms, and media partners including the Women’s Association of Concrete Professionals; The FORGE Foundation; National Association of Hispanic Contractors; Family Business Institute; AAC Worldwide; and Modern WorkTruck Solutions.
Attendees will see many new additions to the 2023 education offerings. These include eight concrete basics and leadership seminars presented in Spanish; a revamped 3-hour seminar concrete repair track; and new workshops focusing on women in construction, securing quality employees, concrete material testing, staining and sealing, and stamped concrete.
