In honor of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on June 23, the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) celebrated the Women of AMPP to recognize and raise awareness of their achievements and promote gender diversity in the field.
Recently, AMPP interviewed eight women in engineering regarding their inspiration, experiences, and advice for young women looking to pursue a similar path.
Using the #WomenOfAMPP hashtag, the association encourages readers to also share their own stories via social media to spread the word and show support.

Along the same theme, CORROSION journal hosted an INWED-themed podcast featuring two distinguished corrosion researchers to discuss their careers in materials science and engineering. In the episode, both women share some challenges they have experienced and provide advice to those newer to the field.
That episode can be listened to below in its entirety.
