Barton International, the world’s premier supplier of garnet abrasives, has announced the appointment of two national sales managers to serve the North American market. David Chandler has been named national waterjet market manager, and Joseph Kanode will serve as the national blast media market manager of the family-owned producer and distributor of garnet abrasives used in waterjet cutting and abrasive blasting.
David Chandler joined the company in 2019 as the Southeast regional sales manager. “David has exhibited a deep dedication to his customers and has successfully built new relationships leading to strong growth throughout the Southeast,” said Joe Morris, vice president of sales and marketing. In this newly created position, Chandler will lead the sales team in their efforts to bring value to clients with high-performance waterjet abrasive and parts.
Joseph Kanode has served as Barton’s Gulf Coast regional sales manager for the past 10 years. During this time, he built lasting relationships with end users, contractors and individuals at all levels of the corrosion protection industry. “Joe brings a decade of institutional knowledge to the position,” said Morris, “and a passion for sharing the value garnet brings to surface preparation projects.” Kanode will lead the effort to expand the industry’s use of Barton garnet blasting media.
