Induron Protective Coatings is pleased to announce the promotion of Chase Murphy to Technical Director, following the retirement of long-time industry leader, Jeff Lackey. Murphy, who has been an integral part of the Induron research and development team for the past year, will assume his new role effective immediately.
Chase Murphy joined Induron as a Lead Chemist and quickly established himself as a key contributor to the company's innovation and product development efforts. His expertise in protective coatings, combined with his leadership abilities, has played a crucial role in the advancement of Induron’s product line, ensuring the company’s continued commitment to delivering high-performance solutions to the marketplace.
"Chase’s promotion to Technical Director is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the significant impact he has made during his time with us," said Davies Hood, President of Induron Protective Coatings. "We are confident that under his technical leadership, Induron will continue to push the boundaries of innovation and maintain our reputation as a leader in the protective coatings industry."
Murphy will succeed Jeff Lackey, who has been with Induron for the past four years. Lackey’s retirement marks the end of an era at Induron, where he has been a driving force behind many of the company’s most successful projects and innovations.
"Jeff Lackey’s contributions to Induron and the industry as a whole are immeasurable. His leadership, vision, and expertise have left an indelible mark on our company, and we are grateful for his years of service," Hood added. "We wish Jeff all the best in his well-deserved retirement!"
In his new role as Technical Director, Chase Murphy will manage the company’s technical operations, including the research and development team and all the chemical aspects of Induron products. He will also oversee the approval of any new raw material to be utilized in Induron’s process while developing and maintaining relationships with distributors and suppliers. Lastly, Murphy is responsible for all environmental and regulatory testing and reporting.
“Equipped with chemistry-based acumen and a hands-on approach to solving problems as well as his positive contribution to the overall culture of the R&D team, Chase is a tremendous addition to our Technical Department,” Hood said. “I am confident that he will make an excellent Technical Director because of the leadership he has already displayed, his attention-to-detail, his focus on his teammates' best and highest use, and his customer-focused attitude. We have a lot of good stuff in-store here at Induron Coatings, and Chase Murphy and his team in our laboratory are a large part of the reason why.”
"I am honored to take on this new challenge and lead Induron’s technical team," Murphy said. "I look forward to building on the strong foundation that Lackey has laid and continuing to innovate and deliver the high-quality protective coatings that our customers expect from Induron."
