CoatingsPro Magazine Announces 2023 Editorial Advisory Group

The team at CoatingsPro Magazine is excited to welcome four new subject matter experts to the 2023 Editorial Advisory Group (EAG) to join Kyle Hough, executive vice president for Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp. (CPSSC), from 2022’s EAG.

For 2023, the EAG experts are:

Michael Beamish, VP and General Manager of DeFelsko Corporation

Michael Beamish is the vice president and general manager of DeFelsko Corporation, an Ogdensburg, N.Y., manufacturer of paint test instruments sold globally.

He has degrees in mechanical engineering and law with experience in the design, production, and marketing of these instruments in a variety of international industries, including industrial painting, quality inspection, and manufacturing.

Katie Hunt, IH&S Marketing Manager for Bullard

Katie Hunt is the industrial hygiene and safety (IH&S) marketing manager at Bullard, where her role encompasses healthcare, pharmaceutical manufacturing, blasting, coatings, and infrastructure. Hunt holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a minor in psychology from Western Kentucky University. She started her career in 2008 at Big Ass Fans in public relations and led the industrial marketing communications efforts for the company until 2012.

She joined Honeywell’s Building Technologies business in 2013, where she worked in multiple roles with progressive responsibility including global public relations manager for the commercial security and industrial fire division, director of global business communications, and global demand generation leader for commercial security.

Eric Nenninger, Founding Partner of 62Archer Inspection and Consulting

Eric Nenninger is a founding partner of 62Archer Inspection and Consulting, an inspection company that is based outside of St. Louis, Mo. Nenninger has been in the industrial coatings field for close to 20 years.

Having worked for application companies, paint manufacturers, and inspection firms, he has a broad knowledge of the industry. He is a NACE Level 3 coating inspector and a member of the Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), and he was the chairman of the local NACE chapter for many years.

Emma Schilling, Brand Manager for Gaco

Emma Schilling, brand manager for Gaco, of Holcim’s Building Envelope division, has been in the building materials industry for the tenure of her more than 10-year career. She has been with Holcim Building Envelope (formerly known as Firestone Building Products) for the past five years, with increasing roles and responsibilities.

Schilling is responsible for the end-to-end brand marketing activities of Gaco roof coatings, spray polyurethane foam, decking, and waterproofing segments, including leading brand and content strategy, marketing campaigns, social media, brand research, events, and trade show strategy/execution. Schilling earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from the University of Toledo.

Kyle Hough, Executive Vice President for CPSSC

Kyle Hough, executive vice president of Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp. (CPSSC), is a passionate industry leader with more than 20 years of experience in industrial coatings. That includes terminals, power, pharmaceutical, chemical/petrochemical, water and wastewater, food and beverage, theme parks, pulp and paper, commercial construction, road and bridge, cranes, cruise ships, universities, stadiums, military, and more.

Hough completed his apprenticeship at a young age with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) and has worked his way up through the industry’s ranks. Hough is an SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings-certified Level 3 Protective Coatings Inspector (PCI), a C 3 Supervisor/Competent Person, a Protective Coating Specialist (PCS), and a Master Coatings Inspector (MCI).

Meeting 2023 Goals

CoatingsPro’s goal is to offer information to our readers that is as accurate, relevant, and timely as possible. The CoatingsPro team looks forward to working with these EAG members, who are leaders crossing the many different areas within the coatings industry. We are thrilled to have them on this year’s EAG to help us reach our 2023 goals!
