A
lightweight epoxy repair composite for rebuilding damaged vertical and overhead
concrete and masonry surfaces will be showcased at the Facilities Show on the
16th-18th of June. The high-build concrete repair
material, Belzona 4141 (Magma-Build), will be demonstrated at Belzona stand Q1450 at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London,
England.
Belzona Commercial Director, Steve
Cooper said, "If you have issues with Spalled Concrete then you need to
see this demonstration. See how this hard wearing Belzona system is applied
onto a vertical surface with no permanent shuttering required. This live
demonstration will illustrate how quick, simple and easy it is to repair
damaged surfaces using this versatile, lightweight system explaining why this
is a long term permanent solution."
Belzona
4141 can be applied up to 12.7 cm thick on vertical surfaces and up to 7.6 cm thick
on overhead surfaces without the use of shuttering during cure and only minimal
support during the application.
A solvent free material,
Belzona 4141’s non-porous characteristics ensure the repair will not absorb
water or chemicals once cured. Generally, concrete must be left to cure for a
minimum of 28 days. However Belzona 4141 will achieve a full mechanical cure at
25°C within just 12 hours, and full chemical cure in only 3 days. Its robust
properties further
ensure
excellent carbonation resistance and enable the substrate to withstand even the
most extreme weather conditions.
The
main application areas for this system include repair of spalled or damaged
concrete areas, weathered stonework, window sills, lintels, columns, archways
and bridges, refurbishment of decorative moldings and other cosmetic repairs.
Alongside the
demonstration, experienced Belzona Business Managers
will be on hand to discuss Belzona’s range of polymeric repair and protection
solutions for floors, walls, roofs and pipework.
