The new M/2 wet sponge holiday detector model from Tinker & Rasor (T&R) offers users one instrument with three outputs to tackle thin-film testing of all types.
The company describes the wet sponge holiday detectors as among the preferred testing instruments in the protective coatings industry today.
Upgraded Detector Features
The upgraded detector utilizes many of the features of the group's original M/1 holiday detector, but has been upgraded and redesigned to promote ease of use. In addition, the new model has multiple output voltages and can be built to suit specific needs, such as roller sponge electrodes, custom ground cable length, and paint pole adapters.
Additional features include three resistance settings for testing on metal substrates or on concrete; customizable electrodes and coated ground cables; and an instrument, wand, and accessories constructed for durability and damage resistance.
The detector comes with a 90-day warranty and conforms to most international testing standards, according to the company.
Available Individually or in Kits
The upgraded detector is sold individually or in kits that include a canvas carrying case and water wetter material to aide in immediate testing. The product is lightweight, with a durable plastic sponge holder, and the case is designed and constructed to be water resistant.
The M/2 and all instruments are available for purchase from stock and can be repaired or calibrated within 24 hours. The San Bernardino, California-based company says it continues to stock the original M/1 model for customers that prefer instrument familiarity.
