Polyglass Introduces VertiWrap Line of Air, Vapor Barriers

Polyglass U.S.A. Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing solutions, recently introduced VertiWrap air and vapor barriers as its newest line of products.

According to the company, the system offers complete flexibility in selecting sheet- and fluid-applied options for both permeable and non-permeable project needs.

The product line includes the following:

  • VertiWrap VPS: A primerless, self-adhered, water resistive vapor permeable air barrier, the VeritWrap VPS membrane permits the passage of water vapor while acting as a barrier to air and liquid water. The membrane reduces moisture buildup in the wall assembly while increasing the wall’s durability and the comfort for building occupants. It is compliant with a variety of NFPA 285 wall assemblies, as defined by the standard from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
  • VertiWrap NPS: A primerless, self-adhered, water resistive nonpermeable air barrier, the VertiWrap NPS membrane prevents the passage of air, water, vapor, and liquid water from entering the wall assembly. The membrane locks moisture out of the wall assembly, which increases wall durability and comfort for building occupants. It is compliant in a variety of NFPA 285 wall assemblies.
  • VertiSeal 50: This one-part, low-VOC, moisture-curing sealant can be used with VertiWrap air barriers. VertiSeal 50 is a silane-terminated polyether (STPE-based) sealant designed for use in terminations, penetrations, and openings. Its low-odor formula is a VOC-compliant in all 50 states.
  • VertiWrap VPL: This primer-less, fluid-applied, water resistive vapor permeable air barrier comes with SwiftSet technology. It acts an air barrier membrane that permits the passage of water vapor while also acting as a barrier to air and liquid water. The membrane reduces moisture buildup in the wall assembly, which increases wall durability and comfort for building occupants. It is compliant in a variety of NFPA 285 wall assemblies.
  • VertiWrap NPL: A primerless, fluid-applied, water resistive nonpermeable air barrier, this membrane prevents the passage of air, water, vapor, and liquid water from entering the wall assembly. The membrane reduces moisture buildup in the wall assembly, which increases wall durability and comfort for building occupants. It is compliant in a variety of NFPA 285 wall assemblies.

According to Polyglass, the VertiWrap line of products allows the company to seal and protect a building envelope — including a roof, wall, and foundation — with a completely compatible system.
