Titan Introduces Next Generation of Airless Sprayer

Building on the Titan Impact 440 airless paint sprayer, Titan recently announced the launch of the Impact X 440 electric airless sprayer. According to the company, this next-generation compact sprayer boasts new technologies as well as performance and productivity features that were only previously available on larger sprayers.

“With the Impact X 440, we’ve re-engineered and re-imagined the legendary 440 to spray even faster, smarter and better,” said Brent Jane, product manager. “It takes productivity to the next level with new technologies and smart design features not found on competitive models.”

New Tip-Sensing Technology

The Impact X 440 features Titan’s new Logix adaptive pressure control system, which the company describes as a tip-sensing technology that pairs with Titan’s new DuraLife Brushless HE Motor to automatically adjust power and pump speed for consistent pressure and a smooth, steady flow.

They work together to ensure the pump works only as hard as needed for the application, which makes it run cooler for years of operation without maintenance. The brushless motor makes the sprayer the most powerful and durable Titan 440, and it is backed by Titan’s WearGuard lifetime motor warranty.

Fluid Section Maximizes Efficiency

The MaxFX fluid section on the Impact X 440, the first of its kind on Titan compact sprayers, allows for maximum uptime and productivity. According to the manufacturer, fluid section changes can be made in a matter of minutes on the jobsite.

Titan’s self-adjusting and self-compensating Quad+ packings work to extend the life of the fluid section while delivering increased. The durable PermaLife cylinder does not wear out and does not ever need replacing, according to the company.

Prime-to-Spray Transition Technology

The Impact X 440 has two new technologies — an anti-splash diffuser and the lever-action prime/spray valve — that work together to minimize the chance of the return hose jumping from the material container when switching from spraying to priming.

The lever-action bypass valve gradually and evenly releases pressure from the unit when switching from one position to the other. Meanwhile, the diffuser disperses pressure from the unit more broadly than units releasing pressure through the hose.

Smart Design Features

The Impact X 440’s vertical filter housing cleans up to three times faster with as little as one-third the water, according to the company. For maximum portability and comfort, the sprayer is 30-percent lighter than comparable models and has a 360-degree adjustable, ergonomic carrying handle for maximum comfort, grip and portability.

In 1986, Titan introduced the new sprayer’s predecessor, the Titan 440. It was one of the first compact, lightweight, and affordable electric sprayers, which allowed paint sprayers to be within reach of many professional painters for the first time.  According to the company, the Titan 440 was a game-changer by helping contractors increase productivity and profits on both residential and property maintenance, as well as small commercial jobs.

Today, the Impact X 440 offers further advancements in the technology. It is available now in the United States and Canada at professional paint and equipment retailers.
