Properly attaching a lanyard might be the most difficult part of tool tethering. But Ergodyne’s new Squids® Wire Tool Tails™ look to make that challenge a thing of the past.
Squids® Wire Tool Tails™ are the innovative safety gear manufacturer’s latest in a series of new “one-step” tool attachments, which do away with traditional shrink, tape and tails in creating retrofit attachment points for tool tethering.
“They’re perfect for creating an attachment point on speed squares, small levels and other small hand tools with a built-in captive eye,” said Brent Velenchenko, product specialist, Ergodyne. “They really turn lanyard connection into a straightforward process when compared to traditional methods. Plus, they won’t interfere with a tool’s grip or functionality as shrink or tape might in this situation.”
Both versions of the new tool attachment – Squids® 3704 Tool Attachment – Loop Tool Tail™ and the Squids® 3705 Tool Attachment – Screw Gate Tool Tail™ – are third-party tested to the new ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 standard and feature:
- Corrosion-resistant stainless steel cable wire to prevent weathering
- Orange PU coating for protection and durability
- Copper termination ends
- One-step simplicity
The new tool attachments are available now through all Ergodyne distributors to help safety managers and workers prevent the costly damage of dropped objects.
